Option is one row of a list to pick from, at least 44pt tall. Select draws its options with it, and you can use it in your own menus, such as a list in a Dialog. A selected option is highlighted and shows a check. See the web Option for the same component in the browser.

Basic usage

onPress is called with the option's value. label falls back to the value.

Description, prefix and suffix

description adds a second line. prefix and suffix take any element, such as an icon or an avatar.

States

disabled dims the option and ignores presses. danger draws the label in the danger colour, for actions such as delete.

Differences from the web

  • There is no href: an option cannot be a link. Navigate in onPress.
  • There is no hover or keyboard highlight. The pressed row is highlighted instead.
  • Label and description are cut to one line each.
